Roulette is a casino game named for the French word"little wheel," that was probably derived from the Italian game Biribi. It lets players select whether they wish to place bets on a specific number or a series of numbers. A croupier turns a wheel in one direction and then spins the ball in the opposite direction along the track, which is circular and tilted, that is centered around the outer edge of the wheel to identify the winning numbers. When momentum is lost, the ball falls through a circle of deflectors and on to the wheel. Any person who wins a bet gets the winnings.
